A leading food manufacturing and production company needed to execute a successful, engaging virtual awards ceremony and employee recognition event in place of their usual in-person program. They wanted to host an event with both live in-studio components and pre-recorded segments. They also wanted award recipients to be surprised by their wins – no easy feat using livestreaming technology. As our long-term client, they turned to us to make this important event happen in the virtual world.
CEAVCO designed and implemented a tightly orchestrated, end-to-end livestream solution involving prerecorded award and nominee introductions, a main session room, two “dressing rooms,” and multiple “green rooms” for award finalists. We also implemented a “stage” room with a countdown clock where surprised winners in 18 different award categories could deliver live acceptance speeches. Both the finalists and the audience at large were able to watch the event unfold without being tipped off as to what was happening behind the scenes.
The process involved extremely detail-oriented greeting and check-in for participants, finalists, and attendees. It also involved segmented broadcasting, anonymized code systems to maintain the element of surprise, and video and audio testing and quality control from start to finish. The event went like clockwork. After the event, our company liaison wrote, “I am getting texts about how amazing the program was tonight! It wouldn’t have been as perfect and flawless without your amazing team!”
