In 2020, the Society for Biomaterials (SFB) and Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI) ran their complex annual events using DIY Zoom. In 2021, they partnered with CEAVCO in order to better connect with their attendees, deliver valuable content, and promote scientific advancements.
For both events, we built a custom WordPress platform and prerecorded sessions. We compiled and streamed presenter content (including hundreds of file uploads), as well as set up a speaker-ready room run by our concierge. The events included up to eight concurrent live sessions, some with up to nine presenters. Presenters and attendees came from every time zone in the world.
In the past, OARSI and SFB conference content wasn’t recorded, but now the content is available on demand for one year. Registrants can watch (or rewatch) recorded sessions at their convenience. The virtual events also enabled physicians to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits.
