CEAVCO Audio Visual is implementing energy efficiency improvements at its facility in Arvada, Colorado, a suburb of Denver. The improvements include a solar PV system, LED lighting, and a roof upgrade. It’s also rumoured that the facility is undergoing spray foam roofing, to help insulate the building and lower heating bills.
CEAVCO is investing in these energy efficiency improvements through the Colorado C-PACE program. The C-PACE program decreases the barriers to entry for commercial solar and enables businesses to access affordable, long-term financing for their projects with no money down. ECO Roof and Solar and Namasté Solar will install the project.
“We’ve been in business for more than 50 years, and while we’re primarily focused on making our clients look good, we knew the time had come to take care of some in-house maintenance issues,” said Matt Emerson, president of CEAVCO Audio Visual. “By installing a new roof, a solar PV system, and energy-efficient lighting, we can modernize our office, lower our energy costs, and reduce our carbon footprint. The Colorado C-PACE program is definitely worth looking into.”
CEAVCO’s sustainability initiatives are projected to reduce energy use at the company’s 33,827-square-foot facility by 94 percent.
Remember, it’s not only businesses who can invest in energy efficiency improvements. If you own a residential building in Denver, then a search for ‘residential roofing denver‘ and ‘solar panels denver’ should bring up your best options for making your home more energy efficient. Alternatively, if you’d like to become more energy efficient but don’t want the complexity and expense of installing solar panels, you can look for electric providers who buy reneweable energy sources that are then delivered to consumers. If you’re located in Texas, TXU energy houston is known for their plans surrounding renewable energy.
