Meet Matt and Jack Emerson of CEAVCO, a Colorado AV production company.

Jack Emerson built CEAVCO in 1961 with the goals of creating a great workplace and providing exceptional customer support. He developed a lifelong reputation for honoring his vision and doing the right thing. He was immensely proud of CEAVCO, our team, our clients and partners, and the work we do. Most importantly, Jack’s original vision from 1961 is still at the core of CEAVCO’s success today.

Jack hired his son Matt as the VP of Finance in May 1989. At the time, Matt was the company’s 15th employee. When Matt started in 1989, the company primarily sold audio visual equipment and had a two-person rental department. In 2003, Matt became the company’s executive vice president, and in 2013 he was named president. From there, Matt and Jack Emerson worked as a team.

“CEAVCO Audio Visual no longer sells equipment, and equipment rentals are a much smaller piece of our business,” says Matt. “CEAVCO is an example of how companies can thrive by adapting to changes in the industry. I’m really proud of our reputation and our relationships with our clients. Though it may sound clichéd, we do everything we can to help our clients meet their objectives. That’s our niche and our passion.”

Meeting planners and CEAVCO’s corporate and association clients take their meetings and events very seriously. CEAVCO, in turn, takes very seriously the hiring and retention of dedicated employees who are committed to making planners’ lives easier and helping them achieve their strategic vision. And while the CEAVCO of today barely resembles the CEAVCO of the past, one thing has remained the same: the team’s dedication to sharing industry knowledge and providing exceptional support to the company’s valued clients.

Says Matt, “Jack grew the company he loved for 52 years, and for the past 30 years I’ve had a challenging and rewarding career that I love. I’m deeply appreciative of the opportunity my father gave me. We have a great workplace, a great team, and great clients and partners — I honestly couldn’t ask for more. I’m amazed by the evolution of the company over last 30 years, and I can’t wait to see what the future will bring!”
