Jonathan Pinks is an idea man. At CEAVCO Audio Visual, he works to improve client events by holding ideation sessions where he and CEAVCO’s project managers, designers, and other team members brainstorm event ideas. What does Pinks find most important? Truly understanding the client’s challenges and coming up with outside-the-box ideas that best meet the client’s goals. His favorite thing? Bringing a fresh view of the client’s event — something the client and their audience haven’t seen before.
Eric Newkirk is a problem solver. Eric is the VP of Design and Creative at CEAVCO Audio Visual, and every day he and his team take on complex, diverse client challenges and find strategic, innovative ways to address them. It’s no small task. How do they do it? By bringing experience gained from 300+ shows a year to bear on every client engagement.
Matt Emerson, President of CEAVCO Audio Visual, describes how CEAVCO’s video and audio experts, set designers, and creative services staff collaborate closely to share design ideas and strategies for taking every event to the next level.
CEAVCO supports over 300 events a year. For each event, the team begins by holding an ideation session, where the team reviews the client’s needs and specific event goals. The team’s favorite part of the process is brainstorming ideas with clients about how to make each new event even more engaging and successful than the last.
This year, CEAVCO Audio Visual is once again a sponsor of Film on the Rocks at Colorado’s historic Red Rocks Amphitheater. The Denver Film Society is a valued partner of CEAVCO’s, and Red Rocks is one of the ultimate Colorado experiences.
The 18th season of Film on the Rocks includes nine events throughout the summer. Each film is preceded by a live concert and local comedian. The CEAVCO team is especially looking forward to the May 25th showing of the long-awaited Grateful Dead documentary Long Strange Trip. The film includes never-before-seen interviews, footage and photos combined with a career-spanning soundtrack focusing on the Grateful Dead’s live performances.
Located in the foothills of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains, Red Rocks is one of the world’s most beautiful venues and is known for its acoustically perfect sound. The first film screened in the program was Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather. Almost 60,000 people attend Film on the Rocks events each year.

At CEAVCO, the creative potential is limitless.
On February 16, CEAVCO hosted an educational program for the Rocky Mountain chapter of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) at its office and warehouse.
MPI held a board meeting and new member orientation at CEAVCO, and then MPI members attended a luncheon, a networking session, and an educational session, also at CEAVCO. CEAVCO President Matt Emerson delivered the keynote presentation. Breakout sessions were led by CEAVCO’s Eric Newkirk and Rick Eichenberger, along with public speaking and presentation coach Meridith Grundei. Matt’s presentation carried one hour of credit toward Certified Meeting Planner certification.
The well-attended event was a huge success — the team completely transformed the warehouse into an event space, and the planning, production, and execution went off without a hitch
Each year, we thank our employees and partners by giving out tickets so they can experience the festival, the largest premier film celebration in the Rocky Mountain Region. We also invite meeting planners and producers to the closing night event. This year, we’re looking forward to hosting colleagues at the closing night Red Carpet presentation of Jackie on November 12.
As a trusted partner of the Denver Film Society, we at CEAVCO feel personally invested in the festival’s success. We’re proud to make Denver our home, just as we’re proud to be part of the energy and excitement that this premier cultural event brings to Denver each fall.
